From the archives: 1995-1996 YUAG Bulletin
I found this Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin from 1995-1996 in our office. It's amazing to see how a publication designed sixteen years ago still looks new. Yale's elegant, timeless, distinctive "look" -- even before the establishment of an official graphic identity system -- is immediately recognizable. This graphic elegance is accented by energetic formal choices, the first of which can be seen on the inside cover:
A flexible typographic grid, large images, and typographic color contribute in equal parts to the quiet liveliness of this bulletin, which was designed by John Gambell, now University Printer, and edited by Lesley Baier, Senior Editor.
