We designed five new posters for the cases outside of Woolsey Hall to welcome new and returning students to campus. Featuring two organ pipe images, two quotations, and one festive autumnal panel, the series celebrates the installation site as well as Yale's past and present. The central panel, pictured above, is an example of how far afield one can take the principle of Yale branding: all of these marks are in the Yale font or in a suggested "companion" font (Serifa), and there's a signature Yale Blue square with the typographic logo in the lower right corner of the poster. Especially because these posters are located on campus outside of an iconic Yale building, the departure from the expected palette of Yale blues is acceptable.
